60-90 Aug 30-31 “Labor Day Long Ball” 2008 FALL Bat Sponsorships BAT Sponsorship Events are listed below, Aug
15-17 is the first weekend it is worth 3x pts in the sponsorship. The remaining weekends for the Bat sponsorship
Aug 22-24, Sep 6-7 2x pts. Sep 13-14 2x pts., Oct 11-12, Oct 25-26 4x pts. If
your team plays the first 4 weekends listed above, your team can play for
FREE Sep 27-28 in the Fall Championships NIT. If you play the first 5
weekends listed then you can also play the Oct 25-26 Final 4x Bat Sponsorship
tournament for FREE. AL USSSA is proud to announce that we will be doing two
team bat sponsorships this fall. THE FIRST ONE - All teams that sanction
their new teams Prior to Aug 1, 08 and that are playing in an AL USSSA
tournament Aug 15-17 will be entered in a drawing for a $1000 Bat
Sponsorship. The winning team will be drawn from a hat during the Aug 15-17
tournament at Cullman. You do not have to play the tournament in Cullman, but
you do have to play an AL USSSA tournament that weekend. THE SECOND ONE - We
will be selecting 6 weekends in the state that are designated BAT SPONSORSHIP
POINTS WEEKENDS. Teams will accumulate points per the USSSA pts system at
these events. Teams must play in 5 of the 6 tournaments selected. The team
(one winner per age group) with the most pts after the 6th tournament will
get the $1000 bat sponsorship. The First Weekend will be Aug 15-17 and it
will be worth 3x pts. So, if you finish first you will get 225 pts toward the
bat sponsorship. The remaining 5 weekends and their associated weightings
will be announced soon. At these tournaments teams will also be given a
discounted entry fee depending on how many they have participated in. This

The 2009 Season
Starts 1 Aug 2008, All teams must re-sanction and age up effective this
date. 2009 points will be awarded at
all USSSA tournaments starting this date with online rosters, without online
rosters=no points. In the fall, All
Rosters are open meaning players can be listed on multiple teams. However, Teams playing AA will be required
to put rosters online and can not have
more than 1 player that participated on a Major team in 2008 and can have no
more than 3 kids that played AAA in 2008.
